On December 21, 2018, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a Presidential Proclamation modifying the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and other free trade agreements.
The Proclamation modifies the following trade agreements, including but not limited to:

Removes Mauritania from AGOA beginning January 1, 2019;

Implement United States tariff commitments under the 2004 Agreement with Israel;

Adding the Nepal Preference Program to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule beginning January 1, 2019;

Continued staged duty reductions for the Korean U.S. Free Trade Agreement;

Amendments to certain textiles rules of origin on the Morocco Free Trade Agreement.
