OFAC Amends Cuban Assets Control Regulations

On November 9, 2017, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) published a Federal Register Notice, announcing amendments to the Cuban Assets Control Regulations (CACR) to implement the National Security Presidential Memorandum on Strengthening the Policy of the United States Toward Cuba  (Cuba NSPM) of June 16, 2017.

The amended regulations make changes primarily to authorizations to travel to Cuba, as well as to restrictions on financial transactions with entities and sub-entities listed on the State Department’s List of Restricted Entities and Subentities Associated with Cuba (Cuba Restricted List).
