USITC Now Accepting MTB Petitions

On October 14, 2016 the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) released News Release 16-131 announcing that USITC will now be accepting Miscellaneous Tariff Bill (MTB) petitions in accordance with the American Manufacturing Competitiveness Act of 2016 (AMCA).

A petition can be filed in the MTB Petition System (MTBPS) portal on the USITC website if a petitioner can provide documentation that substantiates a claim that they are eligible to receive a suspension or reduction of duties. Following submission of the petition, USITC will verify that all statutory requirements have been met.

All MTB petitions must be submitted no later than 5:15 PM on Monday, December 12, 2016, with no late filings being accepted. Additional information can be viewed on the MTB web portal.
