CBP To Release New ACE Capabilities

On August 8, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will release enhanced filing capabilities in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
 
According to Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #15-000531, “RLF will be available for filers who submit ACE Entry Summaries certified for ACE Cargo Release. When you file ACE Entry Summary RLF transactions certified for ACE Cargo Release, the invoice submissions to CBP must be sent via the Document Image System (DIS).”
 
Additional features in ACE include the following:

  • Single Pay Option for ACE Entry Summaries
  • Refactored Entry Summary Types 01, 03, and 11 in new ACE Platform
  • Entry Type 52, Entry Summary Types 51 & 52

The CSMS also specifies that RLF transactions certified for ACE Cargo Release will support the transmission of single transaction bonds via ACE eBond.
