CBP Releases Upcoming ACE Pilot Webinars

On January 12, 2016 U.S. CBP Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #16-000019 announcing four upcoming Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Participating Government Agencies (PGA) pilot webinars for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS).

The topics that will be covered during each webinar are listed below:

  • FDA/ITDS Pilot – will review the FDA’s Supplemental Guide and Prior Notice requirements
  • APHIS Veterinary Services – “Live animals include livestock, avian, semen, embryos, hatching eggs, certain aquaculture species, and certain other live animals.”
  • APHIS Lacey Act Express Couriers – questions on piloting, import and technical will be addressed
  • APHIS Lacey Act Animal Products – work on creating a strategic approach early
