CBP Accepts Entry Type 23 & 06 in ACE

On October 19, 2015 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that in the certification (CERT) and production (PROD) sections of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) they are now accepting Entry and Entry Summary types 23- Temporary Importation Bond (TIB) and 06- Consumption/Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ).

Currently 06 and 23 type entries are unavailable for HTS numbers that have quota requirements. Also, ACE FTZ entries will allow, “submitting active and inactive HTS codes, filing ACE Entry Summary that is certified for ACE Cargo Release, filing weekly FTZ “estimates”, and the designation of privileged foreign status.”
