Mexico Updates Labeling Requirements

On October 1, 2020, in the Diario Oficial, the Mexican Ministry of Economy published several changes to Annex 2.4.1, which contains the list of quality and labeling requirements for all applicable goods imported and exported out of Mexico. One of the most impactful changes is the elimination of three subsections under Article 10 that allowed importers to issue a letter to justify non-compliance of the labeling requirements at the time of entry. Effective October 1, 2020, all goods must comply with the labeling requirements at the time of entry.
