On August 12, 2021, in the Diario Oficial, Mexico’s Ministry of Economy announced the suspension of several activities caused by the increase in confirmed cases of personnel who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19). Among others, the procedures and activities suspended are those related to the Decrees for Promotion of the Manufacturing Industry, Maquiladora and Export Services (IMMEX), Promotional Sectoral Programs (PROSEC), and the refund of import taxes to exporters (Drawback). These include procedures submitted before the entry into force of this Agreement through e-mail, in person, or Single Window. Other services will continue in a normal manner, as it was stated in Bulletin B.SNICE 13/2021. The suspension will last 30 days. The entry into force is the same day of publication.
