Mexico Publishes Update to Free Trade Agreement with the Republic of Colombia

On June 17, 2022, in the Diario Oficial, Mexico’s Ministry of Economy published Decision 111 under the framework of the free trade agreement between the Mexican United States and the Republic of Colombia.   This decision provides a temporary exemption for certain materials produced or obtained outside the free trade zone so that some textile and clothing goods qualify for the preferential tariff treatment under the free trade agreement. The temporary exemption is from June 17, 2022, to June 16, 2024. Decision 111 entered into force the day of publication.
