Mexico Publishes List Of Goods Subject to “Automatic Export Notice”

On June 3, 2025 Mexico's Ministry of Economy (Secretaría de Economía) published an agreement in the Diario Oficial with a list of 30 Harmonized System codes subject to “Automatic Export Notice” (Aviso Automático de Exportación).

For exports of commodities outlined in the agreement, a request must be sent to the Ministry of Economy for an Automatic Export Notice. Per the agreement, the Automatic Export Notice, also referred to as a permit, will be issued within 10 days of the request, provided required criteria are met.

The list of subject commodities includes, but is not limited to:

  • certain automotive parts;
  • certain air conditioning apparatus;
  • certain household refrigerators;
  • certain electronic items; and
  • certain medical apparatus
  • beer;
  • tequila; and
  • unwrought silver.

According to the agreement, this process is intended to generate detailed information on exports to Mexico's trading partners.

The agreement becomes effective on June 4, 2025.
