On May 9, 2025, the Mexican Ministry of economy published modifications to four Economic Completion Agreements in the Diario Oficial.
1) 17th Protocol of the Economic Completion Agreement 6 between Mexico and Argentina providing a quota of 50,000 Metric Tons of Beans and Kidney Beans. This protocol shall enter into force within a period of no more than thirty days from the date on which the General Secretariat of ALADI informs the signatory countries.
2) Preferential duties applicable to black beans based in the Economic Completion Agreement 6 between Mexico and Argentina. Entry into force is the day of publication.
3) Economic Completion Agreement 55 for containing the quotas for several vehicles as well as the formula for calculation of the Regional Value Index. Entry into force was the day of publication.
4) Economic Completion Agreement 55 with preferential duty rates for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay as members of MERCOSUR, for passenger vehicles as well vehicles for the transportation of goods and several auto parts. Entry into force of Agreement is the same day of publication and the preferential duty rates went into effect on March 19th, 2025.
