India Delays Tariff Increases on U.S. Agricultural Products Until September

On August 3, 2018, India’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced a delay to the date of implementation of tariff increases on agricultural goods of U.S. origin until September 18, 2018.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) the agricultural products that will have tariff increases are:

  • Almonds, both shell and in-shell;

  • Walnuts in shell;

  • Fresh apples;

  • Chickpeas;

  • Bengal Gram (Desichana);

  • Chickpeas (Garbanzo);

  • Lentils.
