On September 10, 2019, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) published Incoterms 2020, the most recent edition of the commonly accepted definitions of trade terms used in international trade.
Some of the changes in Incoterms 2020 include:
- Alignment of different levels of insurance coverage;
- Arrangements for carriage with own means of transport;
- The three-letter name for Delivered at Terminal (DAT) changed to Delivery at Place Unloaded (DPU);
- Security-related requirements within carriage obligations and costs.
The ICC also created a mobile application that includes “informative features, news updates, event information and training opportunities.”
