Hong Kong Issues Strategic Trade Controls Notice

On January 14, 2022, in Strategic Trade Controls Circular No. 2/2022, Hong Kong’s Trade and Industry Department issued a reminder of the application and usage requirements for the “Approval-in-Principle Arrangement for Bulk Users of Strategic Commodities Licensing Service (AIP)”. The notice summarizes the license application process and includes information on the conditions for approval and item eligibility. According to the notice, “Under AIP, the processing of strategic commodities license applications and the issuance of licenses are streamlined and expedited.”
