FWS Suspends Trade for CITES Permits from Mexico

On March 27, 2023, in a notice, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) announced the suspension of trade for any Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) species under an import permit, export permit, or re-export certificate issued by Mexico. Effective immediately, these shipments are subject to enforcement action.
