Fish and Wildlife Offering Electronic Licenses

Posted by Matt Schmitt on 10/30/17 3:30 PM

Effective October 2, 2017, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS) has made a new eLicense system available for use by any individual or company importing or exporting wildlife.

Prior to the eLicense system, importers and exporters had to submit paper forms to apply for a U.S. FWS import/export license. The new system will facilitate the clearance of wildlife imports and exports, and will allow users to store data for future use and communicate by e-mail with Service license issuers. Importer and exporters may still opt to file paper applications.
