EPA Announces TSCA Chemical Import Reports Deadline

In a Federal Register notice published on August 11, 2017, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a final rule, regarding reporting requirements under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for manufacturers, importers, or producers of chemical substances.

According to the final rule, “EPA is establishing a retrospective electronic notification of chemical substances on the TSCA Inventory that were manufactured (including imported) for nonexempt commercial purposes during the 10-year time period ending on June 21, 2016, with provision to also allow notification by processors.

This EPA final rule becomes effective on August 11, 2017. The timeframes for the specific types of reporting can be viewed in the final rule.
