Egypt Deploys New Advance Cargo System

On September 30, 2021, in a press release, Egypt’s Ministry of Finance announced the deployment of a new advance registration systems for shipments. The Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system will allow for the advance customs release of goods before they arrive at the port, and data should be submitted at least 48 hours before the shipment exports.

Use of the ACI became mandatory on October 1, 2021.
