Department of Justice and Department of State Launch Intellectual Property Law Enforcement Coordinator Network

On December 15, 2017, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of State announced that it has grown the Intellectual Property Law Enforcement Coordinator (IPLEC) network with the deployment of five specialized prosecutors to high impact regions. The network works to protect intellectual property rights by providing training and technical assistance to foreign law enforcement agencies to investigate, prosecute, deter, and detect intellectual property crimes.
