In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) message published on October 19, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the beta pilot test of its eFiling of Partner Government Agency (PGA) data.

The pilot will assess the ability of importers and brokers to electronically file certificate data at time of entry. CPSC will use the pilot to test its ability to collect data, perform risk assessments, and “inform rulemaking to make eFiling permanent”.

Per the CSMS, CPSC anticipates that eFiling will be implemented by early 2025.
