Commerce Withdraws from Agreement on Tomatoes from Mexico

On July 14, 2025, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a press release on its website "withdrawing from and terminating the 2019 Agreement Suspending the Antidumping Duty Investigation on Fresh Tomatoes from Mexico" (the Agreement). 

According to the press release, the termination of the Agreement reinstates an antidumping duty order which adds duties of 17.09 percent on "most imports of tomatoes from Mexico." 

Per the press release, the Agreement allows Commerce to withdraw after a 90 day notice of intent to do so, which was published in Federal Register on April 18, 2025.
