COAC to Hold Quarterly Meeting in December

On November 16, 2018, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced in a Federal Register Notice that the Commercial Customs Advisory Committee (COAC) would hold its quarterly meeting next week on December 5, 2018, in Herndon, Virginia.

The agenda for the COAC will cover such topics as CTPAT, the proposed Forced Labor Trusted Trader Strategy, intellectual property rights and blockchain proof of concept projects. The current subcommittees will deliberate on these topics, and then provide recommendations for moving forward.

Interested individuals may register as speakers for the public comment periods, which will be held during the meeting. Comments may also be submitting in writing and must be received no later than December 3, 2018, through the Federal eRulemaking Portal, by email, fax, or mail.
