Census Provides Help Guide on Setting up an ACE Account

On November 9, 2016 the U.S. Census Bureau (Census) in response to the movement of the Exporter Accounts and AESDirect filing system to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) issued a help guide that answers “some common questions and issues for those that set-up exporter accounts in ACE.”

The three main type of accounts the help guide references are: 

  • Exporter Roles
  • Filing on Behalf of a Client 
  • Account Structure for Authorized Agents and Freight Forwarders 
  • Existing ACE Importer Accounts 

Any additional questions can be sent to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Data Collection Branch.
