On October 11, 2023, the U.S. Census Bureau published a post on its Global Reach Blog entitled “Part II: Who is the Ultimate Consignee?”.

The blog post addresses 3 practical scenarios and aims “to answer additional questions on the Ultimate Consignee and the end user based on the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).”

The blog post is second in a series of posts devoted to the topic of reporting the correct Ultimate Consignee on the Electronic Export Information (EEI). The first blog post, “Part 1: Who is the Ultimate Consignee?” was originally published September 7, 2023, and provided insights into and answered some frequently asked questions about the Ultimate Consignee and end user.
