On March 27, 2017 U.S. Customs and Border Protection released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #17-000170 on behalf of the U.S. Census Bureau announcing the removal of AES License Code C32.

In a previous announcement, the Census Bureau and Bureau of Industry and Security advised that after 180 days, AES License Code C32 for No License Required (NLR) shipments would be removed and no longer accepted. License Code C33 will now be used for NLR shipments, except in certain cases.
