On March 1, 2018, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #18-000184 an update to the language in the Drawback interim policy document.

The updated language allows filers to submit documents to the Document Image System (DIS) for mixed-use claims within 30 days from the time the filer receives the informational message.

CBP may issue additional guidance to keep members of the trade apprised of future changes.
