On February 5, 2018, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued interim guidance for filing Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 (TFTEA) drawback claims.
Starting on February 24, 2018, CBP will allow electronic filing for drawback claims in the Automated Commercial Environment and the interim guidance will “serve as a reference for the tentative policy and procedures relating to major drawback changes.”
The interim period begins February 24, 2018 and continues until CBP implements the TFTEA drawback regulations. CBP indicates there may be multiple subsequent versions of the guidance document as needed.
