CBP Modifies Withhold Release Order on Carpets and Hand-Knotted Wool from Nepal

On July 26, 2021, in a press release, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the modification of a Withhold Release Order (WRO) on imports of carpets and hand-knotted wool products. Specifically, imports produced by Annapurna Carpet Industries Pvt. Ltd. are admissible at US ports effective July 23, 2021. The WRO was originally issued in July 1998 for forced labor concerns.
