On December 1, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #54197079, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued guidance on the extensions of 81 Section 301 medical product exclusions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The extensions were announced by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) on November 29, 2022. The extensions will be valid through February 28, 2023.
CBP directs additional questions on Section 301 entry filing requirements to TradeRemedy@cbp.dhs.gov.
