CBP Deploying Superfund Tax Certification Indicator in ACE

Posted by Timothy Miller on 1/7/25 5:00 PM

In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on January 3, 2025, U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) announced that an electronic Superfund Tax Certification indicator will be added to Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).

Filers must use this new indicator when filing Superfund Tax drawback claims to be accepted. For unliquidated claims filed before January 21, 2025, the trade will need to request trade control status from CBP and re-transmit the claim with the Superfund Certification Indicator.

The electronic Superfund Tax Certification will be deployed on January 21, 2025.
