In a pair of Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletins published on March 20, 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that they are cancelling their upcoming webinars due to the current lapse in funding for the Department of Homeland Security.

The upcoming National Commodity Specialist Division (NCSD) webinars “Parts of General Use” and "Stepping Forward in Smart Kicks” scheduled for March 24 and March 26, 2026, respectively will be rescheduled once the lapse in funding has been ended.

The quarterly trade violation webinars on trade violation reporting and the Enforce and Protect Act (EAPA) scheduled for March 31 and April 2, 2026, will be cancelled, but held again next quarter.
