CBP Announces Quota Bulletin Specialty Sugar Period 4

On March 28, 2017 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published Quota Bulletin (QB) 17-1312017 announcing the opening date for Specialty Sugar Period 4.

Quota entries may be transmitted on April 7, 2017 from 12:00 midnight local time until 12:00 noon EST only. Entries that are received early or late will not be processed during the opening, although early transmissions may be transmitted a second time during the correct time range.

Additionally, “The USDA Sugar Certificate is required and must be electronically transmitted, if not return to the filer for corrective action.”.  As reported, CBP is expecting this to oversubscribe at the opening moment.
