CARM Implementation Date Reconfirmed

After a vote by the members of the Standing Committee on International Trade (CIIT), a committee in the House of Commons of Canada, The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) project will continue along its original schedule and will enter into force on October 21, 2024.

On the implementation date, CARM will become the official system of record and will introduce several new features including but not limited to changes to the Release Prior to Payment (RPP) Program, electronic management of appeals and compliance actions, and giving importers self-service access to their information.
