On March 13, 2020, Canada’s Parliament ratified the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), known as CUSMA in Canada.  The U.S. and Mexico have also ratified USMCA.  The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a press release noting that “All three countries are working together closely on implementation in advance of the Agreement’s entry into force.”  The countries will complete the next stage of preparations and notify each other of readiness. USMCA will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the last notification according to the protocol in the text.
