On May 1, 2019, Argentina’s Foreign Trade Secretary will implement Ruling 519/2018, which establishes digital certificates of origin, known as Certificados de Origen Digital (COD) in Spanish.

Ruling 519/2018 takes into account two previous rulings, 4043 and 4224, which independently established the issuance of CODs for Brazil and Uruguay. The enforcement date of the COD was pushed back by Ruling 15/2019 on March 1, 2019.
