Argentina Implements the 7th Amendment in Mercosur Common Nomenclature

On October 26th, 2023, Argentina published in its Boletin Oficial Decree 557/2023 to implement the 7th Amendment to the Harmonized System of Designation and Coding of Goods approved through rulings by the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR).

The decree contains 12 annexes that cover a wide range of topics, including the approval of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM), exceptions to the external Common Duty, and applicable duties for fixed assets and computer and telecommunications goods.

Decree 557/2023 went into effect on October 27, 2023.
