Argentina Creates Flexibility on the Payment of Imported Goods

On April 11, 2025, the Central Bank of the Argentinian Republic published communication “A”8226 which announced changes that make the Official Exchange Market and the import process more flexible and have increased accessibility to foreign currency.

This communication opens the possibility of using the Official Exchange Market for the payment of imported goods once the goods have arrived in Argentina and a customs declaration is filed.

These changes went into effect on April 14, 2025.
