Agricultural Marketing Service Increases Cotton Fee

On September 28, 2022, in Federal Register Notice (FRN) 87 FR 58711, the Agricultural Marketing Service amended the Cotton Board Rules and Regulations to increase the fees on imported cotton. This amendment is to ensure that the assessments on domestically produced cotton and those on imported cotton and the cotton content of imported products are the same.

The cotton assessment is increasing from $0.011136 per kilogram to $0.013215 per kilogram, effective November 28, 2022.
