On February 20, 2026, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) issued a ruling that determined any tariffs issued under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) are illegal.
Expeditors is aware of the SCOTUS decision and is actively working to understand its impact.
Please note that as of the time of this notice, no guidance has been provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or any other U.S. Government Agency on claiming of potential refunds, how the ruling affects active Customs declarations, or any other administrative or operational steps. No immediate action is required from importers at this time.
