Precautions on Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV): Feb. 5, 2020

There have been additional precautionary measures announced by ocean carriers and authorities around Asia, including the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Wuhan Port Operation
  • Maersk (Saf Marine), CMA, APL, and ONE are have suspended service. The rest of the carriers are still operating as usual (including COSCO, OOCL, and HMM).
Philippines Port Authority
  • The Philippines Port Authority has declared the requirement of quarantine and inspections for vessels entering the country from China. Additionally, all workers in ships from China are prohibited from disembarking.

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore

  • The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore declares all vessels that have traveled to China in the past 14 days must submit a health declaration form 24 hours prior to berthing. 

Indonesia's Directorate General of Sea Transportation

  • Vessels that have visited China during their last 10 port stops will be thoroughly inspected by the Port Health Authority.
