Oct 4, 2024 – As a result of the October 1st rocket attack by Iran against Israel, airlines were forced to divert flights and subsequently cancel and or reroute future flights around closed airspaces.
Airlines began routing flights south over Saudi Arabia or north over the Caspian Sea. Because of all this, transit times have been extended, and fuel costs have increased.
This is an ongoing situation with varying types of responses by airlines. Please check with individual airlines to confirm their current operational changes, if any.
