Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico still has widespread power outages and flooding. Outer bands of Maria are affecting the USEC and are expected to pass by on Wed/Thursday. The San Juan port is operating during the daylight only to vessels with aid and necessary supplies. The SJU airport is also only open to humanitarian aid.

Roads leading to our office are impassable due to flooding and blocked roadways, therefore for the safety of our employees the San Juan office will be closed until further notice.

The Hacienda office and Customs are both open and processing manual releases. Customs has provided hurricane Maria diversion guidance under CSMS# 17-000608.

The FCC has reported that 92.5% of all cell sites in Puerto Rico are out of service. AT&T has created a website where stateside family members of Puerto Rican residents with AT&T accounts can sign up to receive a notification when service has been restored in Puerto Rico. Those signing up do not need to be AT&T customers, but those in Puerto Rico must be using cell phones on the AT&T network. When those in Puerto Rico are able to connect to an AT&T network, that person will also receive a notification that someone is looking for them.
