The ILWU issued yesterday, July 19th, a 72-hour strike notice to the BC Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) indicating they would be in a legal position to return to the picket lines as of 08:00 PDT on Saturday, July 22.
Late yesterday, the ILWU Canada abruptly rescinded the 72-hour strike notice, eliminating the possibility of a strike on Saturday, July 22nd at 08:00 PDT.
The status of negotiations, or if an agreement has been reached is unknown at this time.
