Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse: March 26, 2024

On the morning of March 26th, at around 1:30am local time, a Maersk-chartered containership (the Dali) collided with Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge, resulting in its collapse.

The vessel was deployed on 2M’s Asia-US east coast loop (Maersk’s TP12 service, MSC’s Empire service, Zim’s ZBA service) and was on its way to Sri Lanka.

The Maryland Port Administration said in a statement that due to the bridge collapse, “vessel traffic into and out of the Port of Baltimore is suspended until further notice.”

Truck operations at terminals inside the port would continue.
