Averted Strike with CBSA

Written by Expeditors | Jun 12, 2024 7:37:02 PM

The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) workers strike has been averted. The union representing over 9,000 employees reached a tentative agreement with the federal government.

Both sides faced a deadline for a new contract, and strike action was planned if no deal was reached. The agreement details are not yet available, but they will likely include wage increases and other worker benefits.
