USDA Revises Products That Flag for Organic Enforcement

In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on October 17, 2024, The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the results of its “risk-based” oversight on thousands of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) under their Strengthening Organic Enforcement (SOE).

After this review, USDA is removing the AM7 flag from approximately 1,700 HTS codes from Chapters 53-94. These HTS codes were removed due to them not being directly related to organic food, feed, or textiles.

This update for AM7 flagging went into production on October 18, 2024.
