On January 19, 2018, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a contingency plan that outlines procedures for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) during a lapse in funding or appropriations.
The contingency plan allows for the continued operation of the majority of CBP’s functions including field operations and the collection of revenue. This allows CBP to continue to process cargo with a minimal amount of disruption.
More information will be forthcoming as it becomes available.
