US, EU Sign Agreement Adjusting Tariff-Rate Quotas for UK’s Withdrawal from the EU

On January 17, 2023, the United States (US) and European Union (EU) signed an agreement to modify existing tariff-rate quotas (TRQs) to adjust for the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the EU. The affected TRQs include food and agricultural products such as meat, potatoes, and fruit juices, as well dog food and certain plywood products.

The agreement includes a detailed breakdown of the affected products and corresponding quantities before and after the adjustment.
