On December 5, 2020, in a press release, the Government of the United Kingdom (UK) announced the signing of an agreement to strengthen its ties with Egypt. The agreement includes provisions to allow preferential treatment and market access. According to the press release, the agreement also “provides a framework for cooperation and further development of political, economic, social, and cultural links.”
