U.S.-Ecuador Trade and Investment Council Holds Third Meeting

On November 19, 2020, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative issued a joint statement from the United States-Ecuador Trade and Investment Council summarizing their third meeting, held on November 10, 2020.

The meeting addressed a variety of topics including:

  • Intellectual property;
  • Environment;
  • Labor; and
  • Agricultural trade.

The U.S. and Ecuador are negotiating a Protocol on Trade Rules and Transparency based on recent trade agreements between the two countries
